Day in, day out. What we do weekly is of value, what we do monthly, important. The real power, however, is in what we do daily. Our habits create our reality. Good ones. Bad. Mediocre ones. Creating a daily habit that is positive can be life reforming. Taking on one that is detrimental can be destructive. Think about what you do every day. Do you read well written literature? Do good work? Make a meal for your family? Take a shower? Make your bed? What would happen if you didn’t do these things daily? What if instead of showering , you just didn’t bother or instead of straightening your home, you left it alone? Or if what you read was immoral or inferior? Would your life be the same? What if you drove recklessly, cursed, complained or yelled at your children daily?
Conversely, what would happen if you prayed every day, complimented your spouse daily or planned daily for the future? How powerful that would be in your life! Well, the same holds true for what we put in our bodies every day. The birth control pill is taken daily. So are blood pressure meds, antidepressants and steroids.
A child was brought to me once who was profoundly attracted and allergic to chocolate. His mother explained that she allowed only one chocolate per day. For the one little piece of chocolate each day, this little boy suffered tremendously. His skin was erupted with eczematous pustules. Had that little boy been given chocolate occasionally, while the rest of his diet remained wholesome, he would not have met with such suffering. His little body had to work very hard to compensate for the imbalance created by this regular indulgence.
A consistent intake of aspirin is dangerous. A daily hormone that keeps a woman from becoming pregnant is tampering with a powerful endocrine system. The use of high blood pressure pills ingested day after day is a false sense of security. The goal of medicine ought not to be to convince us to take anything every day that simply suppresses symptoms. The aim of a rational medicine should be to get to the bottom of the problem and resolve it.
There is indeed a medicine that is reputed around the world to uproot illness and replace it with our god given ability to heal. That medicine is homeopathy. The idea behind homeopathy is that the body has the ability to heal itself when given the correct stimulus. Not drugs taken time after time to cover up symptoms or that bankrupt us of our health later for the hope of a fix today. Its aim is to politely stimulate once or twice, then wait. Often the process is to wait for two or more weeks before the stimulus is reintroduced. No side effects. No disguising of symptoms now only to suffer later when the disease presents more dramatically. Everything is up front, exposed, truthful and proudly filled with integrity.
Now, I don’t suggest that one simply stop taking their drugs. This would be foolish. The human body was not meant to have these foreign substances introduced in the first place, so it has compensated. The heart has been forced to balance in this unnatural setting, the lungs and gastro intestinal system have adjusted…..not for the better, but to make due.
Instead, consider finding a homeopath who can help you regain health so that the need for the drug will be omitted. Then the drug can be slowly withdrawn with the aid of the prescribing doctor. What we ingest daily, whether literally or figuratively, will touch us in a profound way. Make your choice one of integrity and worthy of your future.
